Untitled #3b for viola, horn, and trombone (2019 Oct -2020 Jan)
"Untitled" is the title of my recent series of pieces. #3b was written from 2019 to 2020. "Untitled" implies that there was an original title for the piece, but it was stripped off and already lost for some unknown or secret reason. That might be associated with a common sensation today that large systems which have bolstered the world are beginning to collapse. However, on the other side, the piece is about nature. Nature sometimes shows its inconvenient aspect for the human being, not only in the case of huge disasters, but also in the tiny micro level, such as weird and toxic insects or plants. These living things are usually hiding in the leafmould, but sometimes hurt people who touches them unaware. It also reminds me of the cumbersome nature of entangled vines with countless thorns. Emulating nature in that aspect would make music more harsh tasting, but paradoxically, this might show a possibility to symbolize the little light of truth.
The piece in three movements forms a symmetrical shape. The 1st and 3rd movements are positive-negative, and the 2nd movement works as a converter between the two. These are the different aspects of the same something.
The piece is dedicated to the Wahnsinn Trio.

「無題 第3番b」 ビオラ、ホルン、トロンボーンのための (2019 10月- 2020 1月)
「無題」は近年取り組んでいるの作品シリーズの題名である。本作、第3番bは2019年から2020年にかけて作曲された。この「無題」という題名は次のような経緯を暗示している。つまり、当初は作品に題名があったものが、秘密裏に奪われ、もはやそれが何だったか不明になっているものという架空の背景である。このことは、世界の根源を支えてきた大きな複数のシステムが崩壊し始めているという、今日の共通感覚と関連しているように思われる。
しかし一方で、この作品は自然に関するものでもある。時に自然は、人間にとって不都合な面を垣間見せる。例えばそれは、大きな災害に限らず、毒を持つ昆虫や植物のような、微細なレベルのものも含んでいる。このようないきものは、普段は腐葉土に隠れているが、時に、知らずに触れてしまった人に傷を与える。これは無数の棘を持った絡み合うつる草などといった、厄介な自然の様相をも想起させる。このような自然の側面を模倣することは音楽を痛々しいものにするが、しかし逆説的に微かな真実の光を象徴する可能性をもつであろう。

作品は、３つの楽章によるシンメトリカルな形状から成る。第１楽章、第３楽章はポジとネガである。そして第２楽章はそれらの間の変換機のように機能する。これらは同一の何ものかの３つの異なる側面である。
